Student Association Mathematics and Computer Science

As a mathematics or computer science student, you are automatically a member of the Fachgruppe Mathematik und Informatik through your Skuba membership. If you leave Skuba, you are no longer a member of the FMI.
As a specialist group, we represent the interests of students towards the university, department, professors and lecturers. We also organize events by and for students.

The association has seats on the Teaching Commission and the Departmental Assembly. This keeps us up to date with departmental policy and enables us to influence it. The treasurer is responsible for managing the association's account, preparing the annual accounts once a year and sending them to Skuba.

Studying is more than just learning. That's why the department organizes various events. Start-of-semester barbecues, movie nights, fondue dinners, mulled wine drinking, game nights and the Phil Nat party offer a change from everyday study life and give all students the opportunity to make new contacts. Students can meet up in the ZG to study together.

In order for the association to remain active, we always need members to take on positions or participate in individual projects and events. Do you have ideas for events or would you like to play an active role in the specialist group? Then get in touch with the active members of the association.
